About
Keyan Emami is a JUNO-nominated Iranian-Canadian composer, scholar, and educator renowned for his evocative contemporary language and innovative sonic textures. Holding a doctorate in composition from the University of Toronto, his diverse creative output bridges traditional Persian motifs with modern classical forms, spanning expressive solo piano works, cross-genre orchestral projects, and acclaimed cultural literature. As the co-founder and Artistic Director of the ICOT Collective and Key Music Productions, he frequently collaborates with filmmakers, visual artists, and leading ensembles to create compelling original scores that examine themes of memory, resilience, and cultural identity. Based in Ontario, he serves as an RCM Certified Specialist and Adjudicator at The Royal Conservatory of Music College of Examiners.
